LONDON – As the development of African ports advances in the world economic scenario, for the first time, Nigeria is joining the board of directors of the International Chamber of Shipping, precisely an African state.
“We are delighted to welcome the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping as a full member of ICS – comments General Secretary Guy Platt – thus continuing our journey towards a broad and truly global community. We look forward to strengthening our connections and collaborations within the Nigerian maritime industry ”. Established in 2002, and associate member since 2019, the Nigerian chamber of shipping has grown to represent not only the country’s national shipping industry, but also all companies involved in the maritime sector, including shipowners, port and terminal operators, shipyards and naval.
